So, let's say you need to dispose of something, preferably without destroying it. Where do you put it besides in the ocean.

*Kotori's eyes glance over at the barrels. At this point she didn't really want to know what was in them. She rubs her hands anxiously.*

Is this... a normal thing? For demons, or Makai in general?

... I think it's normal in politics in general?

I'm also in an unusual position inside Makai, that might be skewing this. You know, being a Duchess and all.

I guess maybe I'm not really understanding this all too well. I'm not really someone who knows a lot about politics... and even less about Makai politics... if that's what this is.

Shiroko-san told me you'd been telling her a lot about Makai and I was... curious about it too, so I was going to ask you about it the next time I saw you.

But, you're busy right now and... I'm not really sure if I'm ready to learn about it.

*She honestly wasn't sure if she'd *ever* be ready to learn about it.*

It's just... I know so little about my demon heritage, or Makai in general. I want to know, so I can try and find a way to be more comfortable with that part of myself, but I'm also worried that delving into it might turn up things that I might be uncomfortable with.

But... I want to know what Makai is like. What demons are like. Maybe even what lineage I actually am.

I just have... so many questions.

Well. Makai to start with is the home of most of the Fiend Races, with there being two major powers. And it's a place of both many laws, and also "law of the jungle".

That's a beginning. Ask from there as a framework. And I'll be honest, I'm only shin deep in this myself, I'm still learning.

*Yes. You are able to smell her demonic scent. It's probably a fainter smell than a full demon though, but it's there.*

I understand if you aren't able to answer everything.

I guess there would be too much to cover in terms of the entirety of Makai, and not every fiend race will be the same, so, I guess I'm the most interested in my own race and what they are like.

All I know is that it's insect based. My form and abilities are based on a butterfly.
Heartlands was based on a fly. He also had henchmen who were also insect based.

... Hrm, I'm trying to think of Insect themed Duel Monsters that are Fiends and I'm at a loss, sweetie.

But I do know there is a strong criminal underground in Makai, in both Pandemonium and the Principalities.

*Kotori lets out a sigh as she pulls her knees to her chest.*

I do believe Heartland had rather shady practises. He definitely was a terrible person with a lot of strong connections.

It's possible this may just be a part of myself that I'll never fully understand and all I can do is learn only from my own experiences.

Well... All I can say on my end about understanding demons...

If you have any darker urges, any hungers or lusts, don't think they make you worse or bad. They just are.

Feel free to come to me and Shiroko if you need to work through them, and ask your boyfriend and family to help and understand them. Is all I can tell you.

Believe me, bottling it up has already caused me one breakdown. I really don't want something like that, or worse, happening again.

So I'm trying my best to accept it and be comfortable with it.
It's taking time, but... I'm hoping I'll get to that point where I'm okay with it being a part of me.
